We are raising a generation of boys who have better relationships with their video games, iPods, televisions and computers than they have with their families. Their world is one where pornography is no longer a hidden shame, but encourages as entertainment. With a 50 percent divorce rate both inside and outside the church, this generation's view on marriage is that is has little hope for success.
Our sons are embroiled daily in a battle of the mind. They are being bombarded by conflicting messages about what a real man is. Today's so-called heroes are exalted for selfish pursuits-pleasure, money, and fame. It seems our sons are educated on every subject except how to love a wife and lead a family.
Far too few role models are willing to take a stand against immorality and infidelity, to teach our boys to declare victory for themselves and the generations to follow.
